Applebee’s is Paying off School Lunch Debts in West Michigan
This weekend is National Make a Difference Day and Applebee's wants to make a difference in their Michigan neighborhoods.
In a press release from the restaurant, for one day only they will be holding a fundraiser statewide at participating locations on Sunday, 10/27, to raise money to pay off lunch debt at schools across Michigan.
Each restaurant has teamed with a local school, or charity, to donate money. On that day, from 2p-8p, 20% of food sales will be donated to the chosen school/charity.
42 Applebee's restaurants in the state will be holding the fundraiser including the following West Michigan locations:
- Caledonia
- Comstock Park
- Grand Haven
- Grand Rapids
- Grandville
- Greenville
- Holland
- Walker
According to the release from the company, one in five kids in Michigan live in hunger.
