Arizona Congresswoman Shot

In an act that many politicians are publicly speaking out about tonight, Representative Gabrielle Giffords, a Democrat from Arizona was gunned down along with at least 17 other people.  Giffords underwent surgery and is now in critical condition.

Giffords was speaking at an event outside of a grocery store this morning when Jared Loughner, 22, opened fire. At least six people were killed including a 9-year-old girl and a federal judge.
