At Least 25 Positive Coronavirus Cases On WMU Campus Since August 1
Western Michigan University students have now moved back in to their on campus and off campus housing as the 2020-21 academic year begins and only 25 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported.
Students have been arriving since August 9th and according to a new dashboard posted on WMich.edu, there have been 25 positive cases of coronavirus between the dates of August 1 and August 22. The 25 positive cases are from 598 total tests, resulting in a 4.18% positivity rate. The school has yet to report any test results past August 22.
Western Michigan University's Safe Return Plan is available on their website and according to MLive.com, "WMU is holding a five-day rapid testing event that concludes Monday at the Student Recreation Center on its main campus."
