BBB Warns Of Fake Loan Company Claiming To Be In Grand Rapids [Video]

If you're trying to snag up a payday loan, be careful because the Better Business Bureau Serving West Michigan found a bogus company claiming to be located in downtown Grand Rapids.

WOOD-TV 8 reports that Ocean Finance Credit Services lists its address at 77 Monroe Center, but after the BBB looked into the business they found that the company is not a tenant of that building.

The BBB reports that a customer submitted a loan application online, then was contacted by Ocean Finance. The customer was then asked to send identification, Social Security card, and proof of employment with references.

The BBB warns of deceptive internet offers like this, which is an attempt at stealing money from unsuspecting victims.
