Recently, Michigan's oldest resident shared what she credits to her longevity and I bet you've never heard someone credit this food item.

114 Year Old Michigan Woman Credits Her Longevity To Idaho Potatoes

Bonita Gibson lives in Canton, Michigan, and is believed to be Michigan's oldest resident.

She credits her many years on earth to her favorite food, Potatoes.

Erin McGraw, Life Enrichment Specialist at Waltonwood Carriage Park, in Canton shared with Channel 7 that Bonita and her husband grew Idaho potatoes for around 35 years in Idaho Falls.

Her love for those starchy vegetables continues to this day.

"If she has a burger, she has to have French fries. Up until 109, she was still cooking them in her apartment. Never would I go into her apartment without that fridge bottom drawer full of Idaho potatoes."

The giant potato on wheels made a special stop just to visit Bonita as they travel across the country doing different promotions.
