Boulder Ridge Animal Park Closes For Season After This Weekend
This weekend, October 17 & 18, will be the last weekend for the season at Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park. It will also be the last two days of their ‘Park Before Dark’ as well.
Their website says ‘Park Before Dark’ is a great way to get your kids out in their costumes while enjoying Boulder Ridge. While they don’t have the vendors set up as they have in years past, because of COVID-19, they’re still giving out free “goodie bags” to kids 12 and under.
The ‘Park Before Dark’ event has been going on all week this past week, but as I said earlier, will wrap up on Sunday. Saturday the animal park will be open 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday it’s open noon to 6 pm.
If you’re planning to enjoy the last weekend of the season at Boulder Ridge, you can still buy tickets when you get there or you can purchase them ahead of time on their website. If you're debating on whether or not to go because of the pandemic, they say they have hand sanitizer stations at all the cash registers and feeding stations. Other COVID-19 precautions they’ve been doing are sanitizing the Safari bus after each ride, safe marked distances at the front gate with a covered outdoor area for when your standing in line, and a separate entrance and exit for social distancing.
According to their website, they don’t require you to wear a mask while you’re outside with the animals but do recommend them. The also as that you don’t come if you’re feeling sick and to remember to social distance while you’re enjoying the animals.
