Boyz II Men Hired To Help Raise Russian Birth Rate
Russian President Vladimir Putin is a lot of things, and it turns out that one of those things is "a big R&B fan". The Soviet leader has taken an interesting angle to solving the country's demographic problem: hiring Boyz II Men. I guess the fearless leader thinks that the crooning of the boys from Philly will encourage the Russian public to get it on more. Or something.
Before heading out on tour with NKOTB and 98 Degrees, the Boyz will be making an appearance in Russia in February at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall which, reportedly, will serve as part of Putin’s ongoing PR campaign urging Russians to pop out more babies so that the country will be more “influential".
There are signs that the campaign has been doing it's job, I guess, and that the birth rate in Russia is going up.
Let me sum this up simply for you: the leader of Russia has hired 90's R&B group Boyz II Men to come to Russia and play baby-making music in hopes that it will encourage the people of his country to get it on more.
