
Is it actually safe to walk your dog in this wildfire smoke?
There is so much to love about our friends to the north, Canada.

They have given the world musical legends like Justin Bieber, Alanis Morissette and my personal favorite Nickelback.
They've also given the world hockey and maple syrup, but there's one thing they've been giving parts of the U.S. that is not cool and that's wildfire smoke.
Currently wildfires are burning across Canada and the wind is pushing the dangerous and harmful smoke into the United States.

More than 20 states across the Midwest and Northeast have issued air quality alerts.
This dangerous smoke can cause respiratory issues and cardiovascular stress for humans that's why it's advised to remain indoors and avoid breathing it in, but what about our four-legged friends?
Can You Take Your Dog on a Walk When Wildfire Smoke Is in the Air?
My wife Lindsey was wondering what we should do with our dogs Benny and Paddy.
We were already concerned about the heat wave that has made being outside miserable, but what taking them outside for a walk?
While Benny and Paddy may not care about the air quality, we do, and it turns out that our dogs should also avoid the harmful air.
It's advised that when the air quality is so poor to limit your dog's exposure to just a few minutes to go outside and go to the bathroom and try to avoid any outdoor walks.
Instead, if you can try to get them active indoors both physically and with mental stimulation until the air quality improves and is safer for both you and them to be outside.
