According to Fox 17, the event will shine a spotlight on Kids' Food Basket's education program, which centers around the cultivation and consumption of fresh produce.

Fall Fest is Sunday, Oct. 10 2p.m. to 5p.m. at 1300 Plymouth Ave NE.

The event is free, open to the public, and family friendly. Guests will enjoy fall treats, lawn games, volunteering opportunities, and activity stations.

President Bridget Clark Whitney tells Fox 17,

We are honored to welcome our neighbors to the Kids’ Food Basket Farm and be chief hosts for our first-ever Fall Festival. We are grateful that this event brings the opportunity to share this critical work with our community.

Here is how Kids' Food Basket describes their work in West Michigan:

We nourish children living at or near the poverty level with critical evening meals to level the playing field for their academic achievement. Equipping children and families with greater access to fresh, locally grown food can help us build a more vibrant, healthier West Michigan.

The nonprofit currently serves approximately 8,800 children at 52 locations across four counties, and is continuing to grow to meet the need.
