Class action lawsuits happen all of the time. Heck, you even eventually see those commercials that say, "If you blah, blah, blah, blah, you may be entitled to compensation." Those aren't a scam. They're real. In fact, there's an entire online database dedicated to class action lawsuits/settlements.

If you've been a Verizon customer in recent years, there's a good chance that they owe you some dough. This settlement pertains to anyone who was a Verizon customer between January 2016 and November 2023.

The lawsuit came about because it was claimed that Verizon was charging administrative fees in a "deceptive and unfair manner." How so? Well, they didn't disclose those fees to customers.

If you were a customer during that time frame, you could get up to $100 from the settlement. You can fill out a claim online, but you'll want to hurry - the deadline to file a claim is April 15, 2024.

AMC+ Class Action Settlement

Go to the movies a lot? This settlement may apply to you. AMC's settlement deals with "privacy violations".

It was alleged that AMC tracked users on their website and then shared their information with third parties (which is a violation of federal privacy laws).

This settlement applies to anyone who,

watched videos through AMC+, Shudder, Acorn TV, ALLBLK, SundanceNow and/or HIDIVE services on an online website, mobile app or streaming service controlled by AMC between Jan. 18, 2021, and Jan. 10, 2024.

Payments will vary on this one depending on how many people file a claim for the $8.3M settlement.

There's a quick turnaround to file your claim on this one, too. The deadline to file is April 9, 2024.

Other Class Action Settlements That Could Pay You

There are tons of other settlements out there, and you can check out the full database here. There are settlements for companies like Lens Crafters, Audi, Macy's, and more.
