FOUND: Toy Dog Learning Valuable Skills Until Owner Is Found
As a parent, I already know the absolute dread of losing a favorite toy of your little one. You've torn the house apart, pulled out the seats of the car, and even retraced your steps through the store in hopes you'll be able to reunite with that special object.
Recently, I had to re-walk a block just to find my son's favorite pacifier/toy. It was outside a church- praise Jesus we found it!
So obviously, there is a little someone who is missing their stuffed dog, and Coopersville Recreation is trying to have fun with it until they're able to find it's owner. They posted on their facebook page on September 5th
"Found….at Vet’s Park… next to where a red van was parked for 5 PM soccer practice. Please message to pick up. Will make sure he (or she) gets fed and goes out until the owner is found."
The post got several laugh reactions, but no one stepped up to claim the missing pup. As a southern transplant, I've always understood that no stay is free and sometimes you have to earn your keep.

That's exactly what the Coopersville Rec did- in their updated post on September 10th, they joked that they had put the dog to work around their facilities while it awaited its owner to return for him/her.
Hopefully, this adorable guy or gal finds their way back home before they become a permanent member of the landscaping team. Make sure you spread the word if you live nearby!
