
Beloved Michigan Fire Chief Who Always Helped Others Now Needs Your Kindness
Firefighters are some of the bravest people you'll ever meet.
While most of us would run for our lives when something is on fire, these brave men and women gear up and run into the unknown, putting their lives on the line to save ours.

One of those brave firefighters, who has served the West Michigan community for nearly 25 years, was recently injured and now needs the community's help as he works on his recovery.

Alpine Township Fire Chief Suffers Head Injury
Fire Chief Dave Klomparens, known to those at the department as "Klompy," has been working for almost 25 years and has been the chief since 2012.
Last month, while off duty Chief Klomparens stepped out of a van and missed a step. He fell forward, hitting his head hard, which resulted in a head injury.
He is currently receiving the best care possible at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids.
While he works on recovering his fellow fire fighters are doing something to help him and his family during this difficult time.
Alpine Township Fire Department Hosting Fundraiser For Injured Chief
Coming up on Friday, May 16th, the fire department is hosting a benefit dinner and silent auction where all proceeds will go directly to assist Chief Klompy and his family.
The dinner will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fire Station #1 Community Room, located at 1100 Henze Dr NW, Comstock Park, MI 49321.
