A recent Detroit Pistons game had a bizarre incident happen that forced the game to stop for almost 15 minutes.

It wasn't from an injury, or a player running into the stands like with the 'Malice at the Palace.

Friday night during the 3rd quarter of the Cavaliers vs Pistons game at Little Caesars Arena the horn sounded to let both teams know that the timeout was over.

But the horn didn't stop and kept on going for 12 straight minutes, delaying the game.

Fans and players tried to drown out the annoying loud sound by covering their ears to no avail.

Players on the court feel pressure sometimes during big moments when the game is on the line.

But I can't imagine what the sound guy was feeling as he frantically did everything he could to try and get the horn to turn off.

When they were finally able to get the horn to stop the entire crowd at LCA went wild.

So what caused the issue with the scoreboard?

The horn malfunction is believed to have been caused by a power surge.

ESPN was carrying the game and shared this video of what it was like for everyone in attendance.

The Pistons went on to win the game in overtime with the final score being 122-119.
