Downtown Grand Rapids’ Diversions Nightclub Loses Lease
Officials from Kent County say that they will not renew the lease for Diversions nightclub in downtown Grand Rapids. The club will soon be closing its doors for good. At least in that location.
Kent County is currently in the process of doing a space needs study to determine how its property is being used. Diversions has occupied the space on Fountain Street since 1993.
This news comes just days after the public learned that another downtown Grand Rapids establishment, Ritz Koney Bar and Grille will be closing at the end of February. It's unclear if these two closings are related in any way.
WZZM-13 spoke to the owner of Diversions, who said that they are looking at other locations to move the club, but can not make an official announcement on a new location yet.
