Gone are the days of baking brownies with a rather hot and dangerous light bulb in a tiny plastic oven that looks like the same one your mom played with 30 years ago. Hasbro's Easy-Bake Oven has received a total makeover.

No more super hot light bulb is the most important change, I suppose. Instead the oven will now uses LED a heating element to cook whatever it is that you happen to be making. The manufacturer claims that it will heat up to 375 degrees, but the outside of the oven will only be warm to the touch, not molten lava hot like in the past.

The oven also has a sleek, stylish new look. Of course it's still pink and purple, but it's not as boxy and old fashioned as the Easy-Bake Oven of the past.

Of course, you can't have improvements without a price hike. While previously, you could pick up an Easy-Bake Oven for $29.99, the price has now jumped to $49.99. But hey, it comes with a recipe book with things ranging from red velvet cake to pizza.

What do you think of the new, improved Easy-Bake Oven?
