And even experts agree that we are working harder than a majority of Americans in our day to day lives. In fact, according to a new study from the financial experts at Wallethub, Michigan is one of the most difficult states in America to raise a family. The mitten state fell in the bottom half of states in their best and worst states to raise a family in 2023 list.

Not only is Massachusetts home to some of Americas greatest public schools and universities, the cost of living in most of the state is reasonable, making it easier to raise a family in a positive environments.

While there are some great positives including being 10th in the country for Affordability, meaning that you're likely able to make ends meet if you're living here.

However, we struggled in Family Fun and Education, so you may have to work a little harder to teach and entertain your family, ranking 41st in the US for both. But, those aren't deal breakers by any means. I find the entertainment part of that hard to believe with some of the amazing outdoor experiences the mitten state offers, but what do I know!
