The space had been occupied by Tillie Ruth’s Coffee & Tea since 2020. Tillie Ruth's last day in business inside Bridge St. Market was April 30. According to Wood TV 8, the owner Mary Rose decided not to renew her lease as is on to something different.

Ferris Coffee is making some renovations to the café inside Bridge St. Market and the plan is to open sometime this month.

According to GRBJ,

Bridge Street Market café will be a scaled-down version of its other cafés and will serve light-, medium- and dark-roast batch-brew specialty coffees; espressos including mochas, lattes, Americanos and cappuccinos; nitro cold brews; and a selection of teas.

The new spot will also carry breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and smoothies.

Ferris Coffee & Nut has been operating in Grand Rapids for almost one hundred years!

Founded in GR in 1924, their headquarters is on Seward Ave. where they also have a retail shop and a café. Ferris Coffee & Nut also has locations in Holland and Lansing.

The company also makes nuts (as you may have guessed from the name), craft beer snack mixes, chocolates, and dried fruit.
