Firefighter Who Dropped Gun Outside of Rockford Schools Charged
The Kent County Prosecutor has announced that charges have been filed against an off-duty firefighter who dropped and left his gun outside of Rockford Schools on Tuesday.
Another parent noticed the gun while dropping off their child Tuesday morning and immediately contacted the Rockford Department of Public Safety.
It was determined that the gun belonged to Jason Stoll, an off-duty Rockford firefighter.
Stoll is charged with reckless use of a firearm. If convicted, he faces up to 90 days in jail and/or a $500 fine.
This is a developing story.
