Mother of Fowlerville Student Claims School ‘Covered Up’ Disturbing Hazing
It seems like every year at the high schools and colleges across the country there is always a new report of a student being hurt or killed during a hazing incident.

Recently a 15 year old student wrestler at Fowlerville High School quit the team after revealing some of the shocking things that happened to him during a hazing incident
The boy's mother who wants to remain anonymous says her son quit the Fowlerville High School wrestling team after an alleged hazing incident in the locker-room showers, where another student allegedly urinated on him.
According to the boy's mother her son came home after practice on Jan. 2, 2026, and told her, “People were peeing on my face,” then explained that urine got into his mouth.
Before going to police to report what had happened to her son the mom reached out to coach, Dan Coon.
He told her that there would be follow up conversations and consequences for the young men involved.

The mother told Local 4 that the accused student was still allowed to keep competing and that the school did not make visible changes after the complaint.
She also said the longtime coach, Dan Coon later resigned, and she believed the district was trying to cover it up.
Local 4 was able to get a response about the hazing incident and what actions were being taken to deal with it from Superintendent of Fowlerville Community Schools, Matt Stuard, who said:
“Fowlerville Community Schools takes student safety and student conduct seriously. When situations involving student conduct arise, the District reviews them through appropriate administrative and athletic channels, involves relevant personnel, considers law enforcement involvement when appropriate, and responds in accordance with the student handbook, athletic handbook, board policy, and District procedures.
Because these matters involve students, the District is limited by federal and state privacy laws and cannot comment on specific allegations, student records, discipline, or personnel matters. The District remains committed to maintaining a safe and respectful school environment and to responding promptly and appropriately when concerns arise.”
As of April 2nd the boy’s mom says she still hasn’t heard from any school officials about the incident since January.
