After a protest downtown Grand Rapids turned violent and destructive Saturday night, volunteers are helping to clean up. Anyone headed to help can find free parking at two Ellis Parking structures, Fox 17 reports.

  • 130 Lyon Street, Grand Rapids
  • 118 Lyon Street Grand Rapids

Ellis Parking tells Fox 17 there is no need to validate parking because the gates will be open.

The City of Grand Rapids says that while they appreciate all the volunteers helping to clean up, they respectfully ask that people not gather in large groups.

Anyone headed to help clean up in the following days should follow social distancing guidelines, bring a mask, and make sure to stay hydrated.

And please, be kind to one another and come together in peace and love for our city.
