As temperatures cool and leaves continue to fall, its nice to have a reminder of one of the best parts of warmer temperatures in West Michigan, the fresh produce.

Fulton Street Market has begun a major expansion project.  They will be adding a roof and more to make it easier for all to enjoy the market year-round.

The Fulton Street Market will remain open this winter, but it will get a little confusing thanks to the construction.  Fultonstreetmarket.org says:

For the rest of 2011, the market will continue to operate at its current location from 8am-3pm on market days. Traffic patterns will be adjusted as needed to work around the contruction that is scheduled to start mid-November. (i.e. starting November 15, the Fulton Street entrance will be closed so please use Fountain Street (north end of market) to gain access). Then once full construction begins in January, the market will move across Fuller Street to the Salvation Army Fulton Heights Citadel parking lot (1235 East Fulton St). The winter market will be open from January 7-April 28 on Saturdays from 10am-1pm.

The expansion is expected to be complete by spring.  WZZM has more:
