A local funeral home has a very important, and powerful, message for drivers.

WZZM 13 Reports that Cook Funeral home is launching a new project to urge drivers to stop texting while driving.

The launched they project Thursday night at the Jenison football game, where they asked the crowd to put on a bracelet pledging to not text and drive.

They also produced a short video to play on location showing the deadly consequences of taking your eyes off the road.

The funeral home plans to take the message to several football games this fall, and bring the message to the Whitecaps game this weekend.
