A state tax credit of about $2.5 million is helping to bring up to 1,110 jobs to Zeeland and Holland Charter Township.  Gentex, which is based in Zeeland, will be holding a job fair later this month as they prepare to expand and add hundreds of jobs.

Gentex will hold a job fair on Thursday, August 25.  The job fair will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Holland from 10:00am - 4:00pm.  Gentex is best known for making automatic-dimming mirrors for automobiles.

WZZM tells us more about Gentex's expansion and the tax breaks:

Gentex is planning to invest $160 million over the next five years in expansion and new equipment at their facilities in Zeeland and Holland Charter Township.  Gentex expects the expansion to result in 1,110 new jobs over the next five years.

The City of Zeeland and Holland Charter Township are supportive of the projects, according to the Michigan Economic Growth Authority, and are expected to approve an estimated $7.2 million in tax abatements.

Good luck if you're heading to the job fair!
