The first for me is seeing a robin, the other is Oberon Day which for many is the unofficial start of spring and for others it's when the Getty Drive-In Theatre opens for the year.

Getty Drive-In Theater Opens For 2026

Movie fans were excited to see that the Getty Drive-In Theater will be opening up for the year starting this Friday, March 27th.

This year will mark 82 years that people have been coming to the Getty Drive-In Theater which first opened back in 1944, making it one of the oldest operating drive-ins in America.

What Movies Are Playing At The Getty Drive-In Theater

Most weekends the Getty Drive-In Theater has double features but for this opening weekend they will just be doing single showings.

For the opening weekend 3/27, 3/28, and 3/31, they will be showing four movies.
