Everyone’s an (Art) Critic – Google Reviews of Grand Rapids’ ArtPrize
Since its inception, ArtPrize has brought an amazing energy and buzz to downtown Grand Rapids. For a while, it seemed the celebration of all things art would be going away. But, in 2024, organizers have made it bigger and better than ever!
From kicking things off with fireworks and a 'big surprise' (which turned out to be a giant, illuminated marionette named David) scaling the side of the Amway Grand Plaza) to a "halftime show".
But not everyone can appreciate art (or ArtPrize) for all that it does for the city. More than twenty people have taken to Google to leave reviews for the event. Many (actually most) are quite positive - though people do point on the difficulties finding things and the sheer amount of people and traffic making it difficult to get around the city. Others... well, it seems they didn't have a good time. But, who's to say that that is ArtPrize's fault?
