Governor Whitmer is the new clapback queen!

She had the perfect response after State Rep. Lynn Afendoulis, of Grand Rapids, introduced a new bill on Thursday that would only allow the U.S. and Michigan flag to fly on state buildings. According to the Detroit Free Press, she said: "it's inappropriate to promote social policy."

Whitmer retweeted the news and in the classiest way shut down Rep. Afendoulis.

Pen emoji and all. You know that means business.

Michigan made headlines last month when Governor Whitmer ordered two pride flags to go up on the Romney Building in Lansing -- the first time in state history. She also declared June as Pride Month in Michigan.
