Have you ever wanted to own a brewery? Here's your chance!!

The Hideout Brewery, located on the Northeast side at 3113 Plaza Drive near the FOX 17 studios is for sale. One of Grand Rapids more experimental breweries, the Hideout's owners have listed the sale on Craigslist and they're asking for $725,000.

It comes complete with all the brewing equipment, kitchen supplies and even a bottling system for your brews. Plus, a tasting room (bar) and the ability to expand with a distillery and help managing the place if you need it.

From the Craigslist FAQ:

Why are we selling The Hideout Brewing Company?
The Hideout is currently owned by two people, Nick Humphrey and Scott Colson. We purchased The Hideout 7 years ago. For a number of years we worked on renovations and expansion. We tripled the size of the production space, sent bottles and kegs to over 400 party stores and bars around the state. We added a kitchen area and smoker.
Over the years we have both lost the passion to expand The Hideout. We ran into a few stumbling blocks due in part to bad management and mistakes. We have both branched off in different directions pursuing other passions and over the last three years have not given The Hideout the time, energy or drive that it deserves. This has resulted in a steady decline in the tap room and almost non existent distribution. We have revitalized some of the distribution, but it is nothing compared to what it once was.

The Hideout has accumulated some debt that would all be paid with the proceeds of the sale. Resulting in a completely debt free company.

Is the Hideout currently profitable?
Regrettably the hideout is currently right on the edge of breaking even each month. By either concentrating on improving the taproom business or improving distribution, The Hideout could very quickly become quite profitable. In the past when we were profitable, we reinvested in equipment and building renovations.
