
Who Took the Pride Flag From This Grand Haven Church?
A church in Grand Haven, along with the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, is looking to speak to a couple of young women after they were caught on camera taking a Pride flag from the front of the church.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Grand Haven proudly displays a Pride flag outside the church year-round to let its LGBTQIA+ community members know that the church is a safe space for them.

Unfortunately, according to a post from the church on Facebook, two yet-to-be-identified women strolled up to the church shortly before 1 a.m. on August 9 and removed the flag from its holder and then walked away with it.

In the video posted by the church, you can see one of the women walking up and grabbing the flag while the other woman remains on the sidewalk, seemingly "either recording a video or taking photos".
The church has filed a complaint with the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety, and is asking anyone who recognizes the women to call GHDPS at 616-842-3460.
How to Help St. John's Episcopal Church Replace Its Pride Flag
Many in the community have reached out to the church, offering to replace the flag. They say that the flag is relatively inexpensive; however, the high-quality steel pole that it hangs from is rather pricey. If you'd like to help the church replace the pole, you can donate directly to its Church Building Fund.
