The Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Festival, which was scheduled for June 12-13 2020, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Organizers shared the news on Facebook, saying,

This was a difficult decision, based on the times we are in now, not on where we could be when June arrives.

Founder Ace Marasigan said the decision was made to keep the community's best interests in mind.

Organizers say they are committed to bringing the festival back next year June 11-12, 2021 at Calder Plaza.
