Grand Rapids Civic Theater Announces 2026 Lineup
The Grand Rapids Civic Theater has announced its 2026 season, which is the theater's 100th season, and theater lovers are going to be lining up to get tickets!

The Civic, as it's locally known, is one of the oldest and largest community theaters in the country. And this year, it's celebrating its one hundredth year with an impressive lineup.

This season's lineup includes classics, new favorites, and a little bit of whimsy. Let's take a look at the 2026 Broadway Grand Rapids season.
Come From Away
September 11-27, 2026
Come From Away is a show that I have seen and went into completely blind. I left the theater completely in awe of the show.
It is a retelling of the true story of 7,000 passengers who found themselves stranded in a small town in Newfoundland on 9/11.
Dragons Love Tacos
October 4-18, 2026
This show is based on a New York Times best-selling children's book by Adam Rubin that tells the tale of some dragons who love tacos but can't handle spice.
Annie
November 20 - December 20, 2026
It feels weird to call Annie a "classic", but in my eyes, it absolutely is. It tells the story of Annie, an orphan living in an orphanage in New York City during the Great Depression. Spoiler alert: Annie runs away from the orphanage in search of her parents and finds herself living with a billionaire.
A Chorus Line
January 15-24, 2027
A Chorus Line tells a simple story in a brilliant way. Set on a stage on Broadway, it tells the tale of a group of dancers who are auditioning for a spot on a, you guessed it, chorus line.
Dear Evan Hansen
February 19 - March 7, 2027
I'm so excited to see that Dear Evan Hansen will be performed on the stage at the Grand Rapids Civic Theater. This Tony-winning musical tells the story of a high school student who fabricates a friendship with a classmate who died by suicide to become closer to that student's family.
Finding Nemo, Jr.
March 25-28, 2027
Finding Nemo, Jr. is an adaptation of the Disney movie that we all know and love, but it is short, sweet, and to the point (only 60 minutes). It's rated G for the whole family.
Our Town
April 23 - May 2, 2027
Our Town follows the lives of two families in the fictional town of Grover's Corner, NH. The star of the show, unlike most, is the narrator, who often breaks the fourth wall and brings the audience along with them through the story.
Les Misérables
June 4-20, 2027
Les Misérables is a must-see show for theater lovers (and one of my personal favorites). The musical is based on the novel by Victor Hugo.
This isn't the only cool thing to see in West Michigan this year. Check out these concerts that will be making their way here.
