Grand Rapids Named 12th Best Place To Live In US News & World Reports’ Rankings
US News & World Reports releases it's ranking of the top 125 best places to live in the US and this year Michigan has two cities on the list. Lansing and Grand Rapids both made the list.
Lansing came in at #50 on the list and is said to be "a better value than similarly sized metro areas when you compare housing costs to median household income."
Grand Rapids barely missed the top 10, with a rank of 12th best place to live in the US. Grand Rapids did rank highest for quality of life among all other American cities. The article also talked quite highly about how nice we are: "Midwest friendliness is no exaggeration in Grand Rapids, which, despite being the second largest metro area in Michigan, exudes small-town warmth."
