Santa hits Grand Rapids tomorrow!  Don't worry if you don't have your Christmas decorations up yet.  It's only a trial run for the big guy.

The Grand Rapids Santa Parade is Saturday, November 18, in downtown Grand Rapids.

The Santa Parade has been a long-standing tradition in Grand Rapids.  It started in the late 1800s.  Since 1969, the Grand Rapids Jaycees have run the parade.

Saturday's Santa Parade starts at 9:00am.  The parade begins at the corner of Michigan and Ottawa, then travels south down Ottawa towards Van Andel Arena where it will end at Fulton.

There will be a limited amount of grandstand seating at Calder Plaza.  Having a seat would be a good thing since the parade is expected to last 1.5 hours.

Check out a map of the parade route and some more info on the Santa Parade.

Grab the kids, a chair, and some coffee then head downtown tomorrow morning for your first look at Santa.
