Many government employees aren't being paid, SNAP benefits have been suspended, and everyone is just trying to make it through.

The City of Grand Rapids has stepped up to help out those in the community who may need it.

City of Grand Rapids Suspends Water Shutoffs

The city announced on November 5 that it is suspending water shutoffs for city customers until further notice.

In addition, the city has shared some resources for those who are struggling to pay their water and sewer bills.

Resources in West Michigan to Help With Water Bills

Those resources include Kent County Community Action, the Department of Health and Human Services, Heart of West Michigan United Way, and The Heat and Warmth Fund.
