Hell Of A Labor Day Weekend w/Judas Priest Tickets

You've worked hard and you deserve a Labor Day weekend that rocks, so we have come up with a way to reward your hard work.

All Labor Day weekend long and every hour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., 979 GRD is giving you a chance to win tickets to Judas Priests 50th Anniversary Tour at Van Andel Arena September 16th.

All you have to do is listen for the sounder to give you the phrase, then enter that phrase on the GRD app and send it to the studio. The sounder will play once an hour between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day.

Judas Priest are bringing a very special 50th anniversary show to Van Andel Arena with special guests Sabaton.

Priest's 50th Anniversary Tour was supposed to happen in 2020...and we all know what happened there...ya know, pandemic. Well now that we are vaccinated Priest are taking it back on the road with lots of surprises.

The tour if officially called "The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour and Priest are digging deep into their gigantic catalogue with many songs that haven't been performed in years.

Priest are bringing in a massive live set up for the tour with tones of special effects to enhance their performance.

I saw Judas Priest 6 years ago back in 2015 at Rock on the Range music festival in Columbus, Ohio and it was amazing. Halford's voice is still spot on after all these years. I was lucky because guitarist Glenn Tipton was still performing regularly with the band.

Tipton is still a part of Judas Priest. He still writes and records with the band but because he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease he has remained off the road, but occasionally he pops in for a few songs, so who knows, maybe Glenn will grace us with his presence September 16th. Glenn has already showed up on the tour already so you never know.

Priest have brought back several songs they haven't performed in years like Exciter, Hell Patrol, Rocka Rolla, A Touch of Evil and so many more plus all the hits.
