Channel 95-7, Amway, 5/3rd Bank, Meijer and many other sponsors are working hard now through August 10th to Stuff The Bus for students in need all over Kent County! And, we're asking for your help! Now through August 10th, you can drop off new, unwrapped folders, No.2 pencils, pens, notebooks, erasers and rulers at any of the thirty-seven 5/3rd bank branches all around Kent County. The campaign’s official kick-off is at Fifth Third Ball Park on August 1, 2012. The drive ends August 10 with a special event and raffle at Fifth Third Bank on Baldwin Dr. in Jenison.

August is when a lot of students and parents start thinking about the start of another school year. While a lot of parents will be shopping for school supplies, thousands of struggling parents and their kids in West Michigan will face the reality of starting the school year without the most basic of classroom necessities. To be ready to learn, they need proper supplies.

Even the smallest donation to the Stuff The Bus campaign can make a huge difference in the life of a child beginning a school year, or a teacher who has to make up the shortage of school supplies by purchasing them out of pocket.

Thanks for the generosity of the Fifth Third Bank supplying the backpacks, Amway providing personal care items, Dean Transportation lending transportation and all area residents who will donate the school-supplies between July 30 and August 10. Together we can reach the goal of helping 3500 middle school students in the Grand Rapids.

Join our very own Joe Knight on Tuesday, August 7th from 11am until 1pm at the 5/3rd Bank located at 6210 Kalamazoo Ave. in Grand Rapids. Drop off your donation, and register to win an overnight stay at the Amway Grand, a $50 prepaid 5/3rd bank gift card and more!

Stuff The Bus is brought to you by Amway, Dean Transportation, Fifth Third Bank, Meijer, Superior Business Solutions, Hand 2 Hand Ministries, Student Advancement Foundation, and of course, Channel 95-7.
