We're sad to report that beloved hockey legend Gordie Howe has passed away at the age of 88.

Howe is widely known in the hockey world at "Mr. Hockey".

Howe became a legend in Detroit and Michigan as a whole. Howe won the Stanley Cup with the Red Wings four times, was the league MVP six times, and was the league's leading scorer six times during his time with Detroit between 1946 and 1971.

The Red Wings celebrated his 88th birthday at a game back in March. The new International Bridge between Detroit and Windsor that is expected to be completed in 2020 is set to be named the "Gordie Howe International Bridge".
