The organizers announced the change on their website on Wednesday, February 5.

Not only is the venue for the party changing, the name has changed, as well. It will now be known as Irish OFF Ionia, at least based on its Facebook page and website.

Where Will Irish On (Off)  Ionia Be Held in 2025?

The good news is that the party isn't moving far. Instead of shutting down a large portion of Ionia Ave. in downtown Grand Rapids as it has in years past, it's shifting over a street (and north a few blocks.)

The 2025 festivities will be held at Calder Plaza, which has become the hot spot for festivals within the past few years in downtown Grand Rapids. The party will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

It's unclear as of the writing of this article if organizers will choose to shut down all or part of Ottawa Ave. adjacent to Calder Plaza.

Organizers say that even though the festival is relocating, they expect it to be bigger and better than ever.

The new location at Calder Plaza will provide more space, a better guest experience, and an opportunity to enhance the festival while keeping it at the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. - Irish Off Ionia
