Is Michigan Going to Get a Buc-ee's Location?

Iconic Texas-based gas station, Buc-ee's, has become a thing of lore across the rest of the country.

So, when will Michigan get its first Buc-ee's location?

Don't get me wrong, Michigan has its fair share of fantastic gas stations. In fact, two Michigan gas stations ended up on a list of the best gas station restaurants in the country. And, if nothing else, we have Sheetz now (and the gas stations formerly known as Kum & Go.)

But if you ask anyone who has been to a Buc-ee's, they will tell you that these massive gas stations are unrivaled.

Back in April, many in West Michigan started to wonder if Buc-ee's would be popping up in the Mitten State soon after a billboard for the gas station chain went up near Lowell. Sadly, that billboard was just telling us what we already knew - Michigan doesn't have any of the stores. In fact, it pointed out that the closest location was 444 miles from the billboard - in Richmond, Kentucky.

Will There Be a Buc-ee's in Michigan in 2025?

Will 2025 be the year that Michigan finally gets its first Buc-ee's? It's hard to say, though the chain has branched out beyond Texas and now has stores in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

According to C-Store Dive, there are also plans to build new locations in Ohio (Huber Heights), and Wisconsin (DeForest), but the opening dates for those stores have not been set. So, it seems that they are setting their sites further north than they have previously.
