Sometime last year, a friend of mine started sending me photos of the license plates around town she would see and it has become one of my favorite pastimes. It's one of those things you don't realize how many people have custom license plates until you're really paying attention.

And paying attention I have been. In fact, because of my friend, I have become a bit of a license plate connoisseur, spreading my search for licenses to my friends, who are now also looking at all the license plates around town. It's gotten to the point where there are cars I now recognize around town because I've pointed them out to my friends.
