ABR Trails: Ironwood’s Cross-Country Gem
Competing in the Best Cross-Country Ski Resort category is ABR Trails in Ironwood. They took 4th place nationwide in last year's poll. What started back in 1995 as a small family project with eight miles of paths has grown into a massive 1,100-acre property along the scenic Montreal River.

Today, they offer over 60 miles of groomed cross-country paths, dedicated snowshoe routes, and even dog-pulled skijoring. It's a big favorite in Big Snow Country for anyone who prefers glides over steep drops.

Mount Bohemia: Deep Powder in the Keweenaw
On the Keweenaw Peninsula, Mount Bohemia in Lac La Belle is up for Best Ski Resort overall after grabbing the No. 3 spot in the country last year.

Bohemia has been a bucket-list destination for thrill-seekers since 2000. It boasts the Midwest's highest vertical drop at 900 feet and gets more than 270 inches of natural lake-effect snow every season.
