Some Dogs Just Love the Water

I have never let my dog in anyone's pool out of fear he would drink the water...and I know he would but some dogs love the pool.

My dog Jake likes to play with his buddies in the Muskegon River.

It doesn't have to be the Muskegon River for my dog Jake. He will get in any body of water and it doesn't matter what time of the year it is either.

Back in February, my son and I along with our dog Jake were walking around the farm field taking down our last few trail cameras. The farm tractor can make some big tracks that get filled with water. It was probably in the low 30s when I hear ice breaking and my son says look Dad, Jakes in the water. I look over and Jake had broken the ice and is laying up to his neck in water like it was the middle of summer. Maybe he needed a polar plunge or more than likely just loves water any time of the year.

There will be lots of tennis balls, dog waste bags, and plenty of clean drinking water for the dogs.

You are required to have a leash for getting your dog in and out of the pool area but no leash while in the pool. You can bring a doggy towel, life jacket, or even booties if you feel any of those are necessary but if I were you I would bring a towel.
