It’s very rare that you will ever come across a historical landmark that is a staple of the community and is up for sale. Much like the Commercial Exchange Building in Jackson that was recently put up for bid, a listing from Henderson has a lot of locals and Michigan history buffs talking.

The Michigan Bean Company, founded in 1915 in Saginaw, was a staple business until folding in 1955, but the abandoned grain elevator still stands to this day and is now for sale for the right owner who has the time to restore this iconic building.

Currently, the building which stands at Henderson Road is up for sale for only $25,000, which is pretty good for a historic building, however, it's gonna need some tender, loving care, as the listing describes:

Offering up the Iconic Henderson Granary also known as the old Michigan Bean Co. in Henderson. Here's your chance to preserve the history of the days gone past. The building looks to be in terrible condition but the main structure is built to stand the test of time with a very interesting structural design. Unfortunately, the past steward of this vintage building was none too kind to it and filled it with household debris so it’s going to take a few dumpsters.

There is a well on the property but there is no information provided on the condition of it, and the power is currently unhooked, but has 480 volt 3 phase service available on the property. Will it get a new owner, or is it doomed to eventually come down?
