While you take in all of the animals and furry friends, you will also be able to experience Asian culture at its finest.

"The Lantern Festival is a one-mile light tour through John Ball Zoo. The festival features handcrafted Asian lantern displays that will illuminate the Zoo and tell the intersecting story of wildlife and Asian culture."

Keep in mind that daily tickets for the John Ball Zoo and the Lantern Festival are sold separately.

If you plan to enjoy the Zoo in the daytime and end the night with the Lantern Festival, you will need to buy two separate tickets.

The entire Grand Rapids Lantern Festival tour will take you roughly an hour to an hour and a half of fun to get through.

When Is The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival?

The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival is happening from April 10th until June 16th every Wednesday through Sunday.

Once the city goes dark, you can have some light fun.

From 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM, you have an after-dark John Ball Zoo experience.
