After watching the debate, it makes sense why it is going viral. However, the virality is not because of the debate alone.

Do you know about Marcus Johnson?

Oakland University Student Gives JD Vance A Civic Lesson

An Oakland University political science student, Marcus Johnson has hit a viral moment all for schooling JD Vance with a civics lesson.

After the debate on Tuesday, an NBC reporter asked a panel at Oakland University's Auburn Hills campus about their feelings and thoughts about the vice presidential debate.

One student, Marcus Johnson, blew us away with his debate debrief.

Johnson spoke about Vance's critique of Vice President Kamala Harris not accomplishing more of her policy goals.

Let's say that Marcus realized something was not adding up.

"Cause if anybody took high school civics class, they'd know what the vice president can do and what the vice president can't do."

Johnson continued on by saying,

"Neither candidate on that stage talked about what executive action they're going to take on day one...because they know that they can't. That's not how the vice presidency works."

Well, Marcus' educated and witty comeback earned him plenty of television time!

Marcus was featured on television with MSNBC's Joy Reid to debrief about his viral moment. His response to his newfound fame makes me love Marcus even more.

Johnson mentioned that he did not even know the clip was viral until his friends told him later.

"I went to my dorm room, and I went to sleep. I woke up this morning and I got a bazillion notifications on X. My best friend's texting me up the wazoo. All I did was go to class. I got stuff to do, I don't got time to worry about anybody else."

Someone give this young man a debrief television program for us, Gen Zers.

Michigan's President Gerald Ford's UFO Papers

In June of 1966, following a number of unidentified flying objects spotted in Southern Michigan and other parts of the country, then United States Congressman Gerald R. Ford took the United States Air Force to task for trying to dismiss his constituents' sightings as the result of swamp gas. Here are the papers, courtesy of the Gerald R Ford Presidential Library & Museum.
