
What Were All Those Camera Crews Doing in Grand Rapids Today?
Anytime I see Grand Rapids and West Michigan in a movie l I get really excited.

I remember when 50 cent was in Grand Rapids filming for his movie called Setup.
At the time I worked at a radio station located on Monroe Center and got to see him film several scenes at various spots on the street including in front of Madcap Coffee.
I also thought it was really cool when the movie 30 minutes or less was filmed in Grand Rapids and featured several shots of familiar places including Vito's Pizza.
I also love it when commercials highlight Grand Rapids and West Michigan.

Recently a Keep It Fresh commercial highlighted Grand Rapids with great shots of the blue bridge and Frederick Meijer Gardens.
Today if you were in downtown Grand Rapids you might have noticed a drone flying around along with a camera crew.

They were in town to film a commercial for a Jeep Cherokee.
Whenever the commercial does come out, there's a good chance you'll recognize some of the places in it.
According to Wood TV some of the scenes for the commercial included the Jeep crossing the Sixth Street Bridge, sitting in front of the skate park at Roberto Clemente Park, going through the Front Avenue underpass near Mount Vernon Avenue and driving along Ottawa Avenue.
