Joe Jonas Helps Out Michigan Dad in Viral Ticket Plea
When your kid’s favorite band announces a show in your city, you do whatever it takes to make it happen, even if it’s a new fascination. That’s what Mike (known to his TikTok followers as “Detroit Dad”) thought when he bought tickets for the Jonas Brothers’ show at Comerica Park in Detroit.
But then the venue changed, and so did his ability to get his daughter to the show.
The concert was moved to Little Caesars Arena, and Mike, like many other fans, logged on during the past purchaser presale to get new tickets. But, according to a video he posted to his TikTok account what he found was shocking: ticket prices had nearly doubled.
And that meant one thing, his daughter might not get to see the band she had just fallen in love with. If you’re a parent, you already know what a disappointment that would be.
So Mike did what any dad with a TikTok account and a whole lot of hope would do, he shared his story online.
He wasn’t asking for anything free. In fact, he made that clear. He just wanted a fair shot at being able to get his daughter back in the room to see her new favorite band. Parents all over the US saw his plea, and it went viral.
That’s when his video reached one of the Jonas Brothers themselves.
Joe Jonas saw Mike’s post and decided to do something incredible: he reached out to Mike and his family to see how he could get them to the show.
