High Times Wants You To Help Judge The Michigan Cannabis Cup
High Times has been the premier source for content about marijuana in all forms. From consumption, to culture to the business, they cover it all. So naturally, they are the authority when it comes the best of the best.
Their Cannabis Cup has been the Olympics of pot since it's inception in 1988. Originally the competition was held in Amsterdam, but it has still expanded to the United States thanks to the passing of medical and recreational use laws.
Originally, the competition was judged by weed celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Ludacris, Machine Gun Kelly, and more. But after the COVID pandemic started, they switched to the user judgement system and it's been a hit since.
With the return of the Michigan Cannabis Cup this April, the team at High Times are looking for people to judge all of the crème de le crème of strains and products to find the best Michigan has to offer.
Want to make your voice heard? Thankfully, there are no requirements ahead other than a love of marijuana. All you have to do is head to one of 12 designated dispensaries and pick up one of their judges kits. Each kit is slightly different, and they come in multiple tiers ranging anywhere from $100 to $300. Then, comes the fun part...
You try them all.
After you've completed your research, you log your vote and your job as an official High Times judge is complete.
If you want this dream job, you won't want to nap. Many of the judges kits sold out the day they came into stock, so it's important to be ready to go. This year, the judging starts on April 16th with kits becoming available that day, and the results will be announced on June 25th. You can learn more here.
Good luck, and judge safely and responsibly.
