
Heart-Stopping Video Captures Kalamazoo Cop Catching Baby Tossed From Fire
You've seen it happen before in movies and TV dramas.

An apartment is engulfed in flames and stuck up on the second floor is a woman and a small child.
The flames keep on getting closer and closer and the only way to escape is jump down to the ground below.

That scary scene happened recently in Kalamazoo and just like in the movies and TV dramas this story has a happy ending.
KDPS Officer Catches Baby Tossed From Burning Home
On Friday, May 15th around 4:15pm first responders received a call that a house was on fire near Washington Avenue near James Street.
When they arrived on the scene they acted quickly to help save the life of a baby and its mother.

In the video shared below, the KDPS officer yells to the woman to knock out her screen and toss down the baby.
A few seconds later, after she was able to knock out the screen, put her baby out the 2nd story window and toss the baby down to the officer waiting below.
In a catch that only Isaac TeSlaa could make the officer caught the baby.
The officers then grabbed a ladder and got the mom down to safety.
Momma and baby were taken to the hospital to get checked out, and went home with no reported injuries.
