Steve Carell and Kelly Clarkson became fast friends after meeting for the first time at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards, 13 years after he screamed her name in the film that made him a household name.

Carell starred in The 40-Year-Old Virgin in 2005, and in one memorable scene in the movie, his character undergoes a makeover. He gets his chest waxed as part of his transformation, and while he's having his chest hair pulled out, he screams a string of profanity and, hilariously, randomly includes Clarkson's name.

The former star of TV's The Office and his wife came face-to-face with the pop and sometime country singer at the Golden Globes on Sunday night (Jan. 7), and he documented the moment via social media, tweeting a picture of himself with the star and writing, "Finally."

Clarkson also turned to Twitter to rave about the meeting, gushing, "One of my favorite moments of my life! I love you and your lovely wife!"

The singer had a banner night at the 2018 Golden Globes; not only did she meet Carell, she also got to meet Meryl Streep, one of her all-time idols, and the moment was captured on camera. Clarkson was in the middle of a red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest when she spotted Streep and completely lost her cool.

"Oh my God, that's Meryl!" Clarkson exclaimed, and then called out directly to Streep, saying, "Oh my God can I meet you? I'm such a fan! I love everyone, I've just adored you since I was like eight." The two had a nice chat on the red carpet before the show began.
