Slow Internet? Kent County Wants You To Tattle On Your Service Provider
There is nothing more frustrating and infuriatng that when the internet you pay way too much for, is slower than a snail.
But, that is a reality for some Kent County residents. Sometimes it's not about who your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is, but rather where you live instead. That's why for the next couple of days, Kent County and the city of Grand Rapids are asking for your help to indentify slow spots around the county.
How Can I Report My Internet Speed In Kent County?
Kent County and Grand Rapids residents have been invited to participate in Michigan's Broadband Map Challenge, in hopes they can improve internet access in our County.

They need accurate internet service maps, but some coverage maps aren’t up-to-date. Check what is reported for YOUR address, and if the map has incorrect services or speeds listed, make sure to submit a challenge before April 30!
Your submission to this cause will help other residents be able to get updated speeds in their area, which may not happen otherwise. So, it's super important that people all over our county participate in order for us to get the most accurate reading.
All you have to do to participate is to go to their website while you're on your home network, do the speed test, and submit your answers to the website. Most of the process is automated, and should be pretty quick and painless for you.
